Candid comments from the choreographer -

This process has been very rewarding for me as a choreographer, because I seldom have the opportunity to create an evening of work for 9 men. Not only do I get to exlpore my ideas and visions with a very talented cast who can make those ideas into reality, but they bring their own creative talents to the rehearsals as well. The result is a very enjoyable rehearsal process and a much richer finished dance because of their input. I have asked them to do some different kinds of things for me. I think all of them have some bruises from the chairs we use in one dance and I have warned Juan Carlos about some very large and potentially dangerous swinging props in another section. They are all great to work with though and act as if all of my requests are "normal."

In addition to the work in the studio I have had a couple of video shoots to get material for the evening. This is when the dancers were really accommodating. For instance, Tyler was treading water for about 2 hours (I can't imagine why he fell asleep on the way home) and Jeffrey had to work in an abandoned warehouse occupied by numerous pigeons - you can imagine what the floor was like. They did afford me the opportunity to gather some wonderful images to use, so I hope they forgive me.
